Knackered!

Whoa, time is flying, the saying so little time so much to do is true of my life right now. I’ve just realised I’ve written nothing for almost 2 weeks, you could say nothing is better than acknowledging that I haven’t done it.

Move happens on 26th and I’m totally unprepared coincidentally the same day that Near & Farr comes out of the water fro 5 days to get anti fouled and polished and that the electrical components arrive for new switchboard.

I’ll be “camping” at the house or on Ché if I still have her for about a week.

Will post again with details when I’m not quite so tired and stressed.

Amusing myself

I should have mentioned one of the things I no longer own is a means of watching “live” tv, it’s streaming all the way from now.  Tonight is the first night that I’ve noticed it, sat down with a wine to watch the news and it’s not there.  Read the “paper” online instead. It will be interesting filling evenings without tv or much data to watch netflix.

The dates are set.

It’s been a busy week, a bit of time spent actively avoiding the things that need doing and I know now first hand what it feels like to live in one of those houses that you see on Hoarders TV programmes, stepping over and around things, stuff in piles cos it’s to good to go in the skip at least for me there is an end to that madness coming.  My sister was here for a couple of days last week and she was a great help – motivation and moral support combined with a bit of bossiness, all in a non-judgemental way.  Thank you Mary, love you heaps.

We found a storage facility that i am happy with, light, airy and very secure which is the biggest thing.  Not far from the house and the motorway so it will be easy to get to if I need things.  It’s booked from 26 November.  I’ll need to book movers but will do that next week when I start packing.

It looks like I’ve found tenants for the house  – just waiting for the letting agent to do their checks and then it will be confirmed with a 2 Dec availability date.

Gradually getting through the other jobs, seen the accountant, enquired about haulout for  N&F antifoul & polish (in 2 weeks time), got a plan for the electrics… the list goes on. But for now it’s a quick coffee and back to the skip and the junk that is under the house.
